HORVATH'S 17 KILLS LEADS KNIGHTS TO WIN

Canton, NY - Junior Claire Horvath (South Bend, IN) recorded 17 kills and five aces as the Clarkson University Volleyball team won its fourth match of the season with a three-game match victory over St. Lawrence on Tuesday night at St. Lawrence's Burkman Gymnasium.

The Golden Knights won the first game 30-23 and were behind by three points late in the second game, but rallied for a 30-28 victory before winning the third game 30-24. The Saints fell to 1-4 on the season. Clarkson returns to action this weekend at the highly competitive Bomber Invitational at Ithaca, NY.

Senior Stephanie Thornton (Corning, NY) added eight more kills and is now within six of 1,000 in her career. She also added 14 digs and two aces. Senior Suzanne Clarvoe (Hartwick, NY) contributed 40 assists and sophomore Katie Benson (Ashton, MD) added 26 digs and four aces.
