With four straight wins and victories in eight of its last nine games, Clarkson has enjoyed a strong start to the 2019-20 campaign. The Golden Knights, guided by ninth-year Head Coach Casey Jones, Associate Head Coach Josh Hauge and Assistant Coach Mike Towns will look to close out the first semester with another solid showing as they travel to Michigan's Upper Peninsula to take on Michigan Tech in a two-game, non-league series this weekend in Houghton, MI.

Ranked 4/5th in the national polls, Clarkson owns an 11-3-1 overall record and is tied for second in the ECAC Hockey standings with a 6-1 league mark. The Green and Gold are coming off their third win of the season over archrival St. Lawrence, defeating the Saints 3-1 in conference action at Cheel Arena on Saturday.

The Knights also defeated St. Lawrence twice (4-3 ot, 3-2 ot) in Potsdam during non-league play in early November.

The Series;
Two traditional hockey programs, Clarkson and Michigan Tech have played each other only five times with the Golden Knights winning the last three to hold a 3-2 advantage. Playing for the first time since a 4-3 Clarkson victory in the 1970 NCAA semifinals in Lake Placid, the Green and Gold won a pair of 3-1 games at Cheel Arena last year on November 16-17.
Michigan Tech won the 1962 National Championship game over Clarkson 7-1 in Utica, in the teams' first ever meeting. The Huskies also won the only other game played in Potsdam, skating to a 4-3 overtime victory at Walker Arena on November 25, 1966. This will be the first games between the two in Houghton, MI. Haralds Egle has recorded a team-high two points (1-1) against Michigan Tech.
