Ten days ago it seemed impossible with cold weather and snow covered fields, but the Clarkson University Softball team is poised for its home-opener on Wednesday when the team hosts SUNY Potsdam at Scott Field.

The Series: The Golden Knights are 14-3 all-time against the Bears, including four victories in 2022. Two wins came as shutouts, as Riley Page and Devin Fitzpatrick combined for a one-hitter on March 30th, and then Olivia Zoeller and Emily McBath produced a six-inning no-hitter on April 6th.

Key Stats for Clarkson (5-7): Wednesday's games will mark the first action for the Golden Knights since March 16th, but the Clarkson bats shouldn't take long to reawaken. Bridget Twaits was hitless in the season-opener and in the final game in Florida, but around those two contests she had a 10-game hitting streak, and has produced a .395 average (17-for-43) so far.
