The Series: Clarkson is just 3-22-6 all-time against the Thoroughbreds, but the matchup has been considerably closer in more recent seasons. In the last four seasons, the teams have met five times, including a 2-2 overtime tie in the Liberty League First Round in 2022, with the Knights advancing on penalty kicks. Clarkson won 2-0 in 2023, but Skidmore was on top last year when Hannah Feltzer scored in the 81st minute to lift the Thoroughbreds to a 2-1 win.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-3-2, 0-1-0 Liberty League): Nearly at the midway point of the season, junior Riley Irvin has yet to leave the pitch in seven contests in 2025, playing even the full 90 minutes of a 6-0 win against SUNY Canton when the team was down with a number of injuries. Last year, Emily Davis led the team in minutes, coming off the field for only 60 total minutes, and she was also the team leader in 2022, leaving the turf for a total of 72 minutes. The 2023 season is what Irvin will strive for, as Arin Bates (8 minutes), Emily Colby (15 minutes), and Julia Tylar (26 minutes) barely ever exited games.

Key Stats for Skidmore (2-2-2, 0-0-0 Liberty League): A year ago, Avery Rogers was one of the top goalkeepers in the Liberty League with a 0.69 goals against average prior to the NCAA Tournament, though her number jumped to 0.90 for the season after a 4-3 loss to Case Western Reserve University. This year, a 4-0 loss to Williams has skewed her numbers somewhat, as she has a 1.63 goals against average and .741 save percentage in 385 minutes between the posts. Abby Lewis leads the team in scoring with seven points (3-1-7) and was one of two goal scorers for Skidmore against Clarkson in 2024.
