Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: The two teams have met just once in Clarkson's 40-year program history, with Geneseo winning a matchup in 2008 by the score of 20-8.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-1): Freshman Sydney Roderick has been an early season revelation for the Green and Gold, leading the team and Liberty League in points (16) and assists (11). Her 11 helpers are already half of the freshman record at Clarkson (Alyssa Cristaldi had 22 in 2010). A frequent target of Roderick is junior Aubrey Borgesi, who is also off to a strong start. Entering the season, Borgesi scored 22 goals in two seasons but this year she is off to a strong start with a team-high nine goals to go along with 10 draw controls. Senior Jaid Baytos is third on the team in goals with seven, having recently become the seventh player in program history to reach 100 in her career. Looking to join her in that category either late this year or early next year are juniors Katie Sergeant and Abby Collins. Sergeant is one behind Borgesi in goals with eight and Collins is contributing in all facets of the game with seven points (5-2-7), 11 draws, seven groundballs and five caused turnovers. Through three contests, Clarkson is doubling up opponents in shots (122-61) and shots on goal (97-47).

Key Stats for SUNY Geneseo (2-0): A year ago, the Knights opened the season with 11 consecutive wins only to see their season end at 13-4 and an early exit in the SUNYAC Tournament. Geneseo is off to another hot start with two wins in two games, outscoring opponents to the tune of 30-9. Hannah Marafioti, the 2018 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year, is off to a hot start with eight points (5-3-8) to go along with six caused turnovers, but it is fellow sophomore Nicole Voci who leads the team in scoring with nine tallies (2-7-9). Tessa Doody, Mallory Max and Megan Henderson have each contributed four goals and are busy with the ball loose, as Doody and Max each have seven groundballs and Max and Henderson have contributed six draws. Caitlyn Merkel also excels with the ball on the ground, picking up seven groundballs and with seven draws. Tess McFadden has stopped 11 of 20 shots on goal for a 4.70 goals against average.
