For the first time in program history the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team will be at home for a playoff game as the Golden Knights take on Rensselaer at 4:00 pm on Tuesday at Hantz Turf Field.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Golden Knights earned the third seed in the conference playoffs with a record of 7-3 in league games, while Rensselaer won a tie-breaker to gain the sixth seed in the league standings with a conference mark of 5-5.

The Series: The Golden Knights are 8-29 all-time against the Engineers with their last win coming during the 2016 season. This is the second straight season that the two teams have matched up in the league playoffs, with RPI winning last year's postseason game 10-7. RPI sent Clarkson to one of its three league defeats during the regular season (10-8), although Clarkson had more draws (12-7), more shots (30-24), more shots on goal (24-17) and fewer turnovers (18-12).

Key Stats for Clarkson (11-6, 7-3 Liberty League, #3 seed): The Knights own the second-most prolific offense in the conference, averaging 14.53 goals per game and are one of only two teams with five players that have scored 25 goals or more (Vassar), except the Green and Gold actually have six such players. Many of those players have been the beneficiary of Sydney Roderick's passing as she leads the conference in assists with 44 to go along with 25 goals. Aubrey Borgesi (44), Jaid Baytos (40), Katie Sergeant (33), Mia Petrone (27) and Abby Collins (26) are the other five players to have scored at least 25 goals this year. Defensively, the Knights rank second in the league in goals against average (10.18 gpg). Amanda Ellman leads the team with 32 groundballs and 21 caused turnovers, while Abby Collins and Sydney Roderick are close behind with 19 caused turnovers). Stephanie Scaia is a key player on clears and has also contributed 29 groundballs and 15 caused turnovers.

Key Stats for Rensselaer (8-5, 5-5 Liberty League, #6 seed): While the Engineers may have been deficient in most categories besides the scoreboard in the first meeting, they have on their team one of the top goalkeepers in the conference in Aleena Milinski. The senior ranks first in the league in saves per game (11.31) and is third in save percentage (.514), numbers which were bolstered by her performance in the first game against the Knights when she made 16 saves on 24 shots on goal. On nine occasions this year, Milinski has reached double figures in saves in a game, including seven times during league play. Nora Molino is tied for fifth on the team in scoring with 25 points (21-4-25), but her contributions go well beyond the regular offensive standards, as she ranks in the top 10 in the conference in groundballs per game, caused turnovers per game, and draw controls per game. Abby Salvon leads the team in scoring with 45 points on 34 goals and 11 assists, and she produced half of the team's offense in the first meeting, scoring four goals and adding an assist in RPI's 10-8 victory on March 16th.
