The Series: The Golden Knights split with Skidmore and Union a year ago, beating the Thoroughbreds 15-14 in Saratoga, but then dropping an 18-8 decision to the Dutchwomen. Clarkson is 7-25 all-time against Skidmore, but has won three of the last four, and the Knights are 3-24 in the all-time matchup versus Union, though all three of those wins have come in the past five seasons.

Key Stats for Clarkson (6-5, 1-3 Liberty League): Owning the second-highest scoring offense in the conference, Clarkson has six different players with 20 or more points, led by Julia Lavarnway. The senior attacker has 51 points on 16 goals and 35 assists, ranking first in the league in assists per game (3.18) and second in points per game (4.64). Junior midfielder Madelynn Barnum is sixth in the conference in goals per game (2.73) and has 37 points (30-7-37) overall while also ranking highly among the team leaders in groundballs (15), caused turnovers (16), and draw controls (50). Barnum enjoyed a big game against Skidmore a year ago with five goals, but it was Mia Petrone who was the true difference maker, as she had seven points on six goals and an assist while also claiming nine draws in the one-goal win.

Key Stats for Skidmore (6-3, 2-2 Liberty League): The Thoroughbreds are allowing less than nine goals per game between Phoebe Beshlian and Liv Kazanjian. The former has a 7.71 goals against average in 342 minutes in the crease for Skidmore. Gabriella Modesti ranks fifth in the league in points per game (4.13) and is 10th in goals per contest (2.50). Modesti leads a rather diverse offense, as eight players have reached double figures in goals scored this year. Caleigh Trider is the team's top defender, and ranks in the top six in the conference in both groundballs per game (2.75) and caused turnovers per contest (1.50).

Key Stats for Union (6-2, 2-1 Liberty League): Like Skidmore, the Dutchwomen have a strong presence in the crease, noted significantly by Sydney Widlitz who was recently chosen as the IWLCA Division III Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Widlitz has a .522 save percentage and 7.76 goals against average in 340 minutes of play in 2023. Sydney McParlton ranks fifth in the conference in goals per game at 2.88 and has the top overall point number for the Dutchwomen with 26 (23-3-26). Dani Truini leads the team with 32 draw controls and also has produced 18 points (15-3-18). Anna Smith (four goals), Katie Julie (three goals), and Drew Charlton (three goals) all enjoyed solid offensive results against Clarkson last season.
