Some clarity to the playoff picture may come about this weekend in the Liberty League, as several teams in the middle of the pack will face one another, including the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team hitting the road to take on Union College and Skidmore College.

The Series: Clarkson has lost three straight against Union since 2021 after a three-game winning streak of its own. In 2023, the Garnet Chargers scored five in the fourth quarter to claim the win. Conversely, the Knights have won three straight against Skidmore. Madelynn Barnum was busy against the Thoroughbreds, scoring seven points with four goals and three assists.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-4, 3-3 Liberty League): Plenty of history awaits the Knights in the coming days, whether it be this weekend or before the season is out. Senior Hailey Millington sits just one point shy of 100 for her career, ranking second on the team in goals (28) and second in draw controls (51). Barnum surpassed 200 points last weekend, but she remains three goals shy of tying the single-season record at Clarkson. Graduate student Julia Lavarnway could join Barnum in the 200-point club, as she sits seven points shy of becoming the sixth member of the club at Clarkson.

Key Stats for Union (6-4, 4-2 Liberty League): A year ago, goalkeeper Sydney Widlitz was the Liberty League's First-Team All-Star at the position and she is again posting solid numbers with a .464 save percentage and 8.56 saves per game (second in conference). Helping her out defensively are Anna Dembrowski (21 groundballs, 8 caused turnovers) and Ella Trout (17 groundballs, 11 caused turnovers). On offense, Gillian Joseph is the team's top scoring threat with 25 goals. Greta Maurer (12-14-26) and Maddy Schiller (17-4-21) are also busy on the offensive end.

Key Stats for Skidmore (6-7, 2-3 Liberty League): Like Union, the Thoroughbreds headliner is their goalkeeper. Liv Kazanjian is second in the conference in goals against average (8.08), first in save percentage (.571) and is fourth in saves per game (8.45). She also is fourth in the conference with 27 groundballs. Gabriella Modesti is the team's top producer of points, having scored 30 goals with six assists for 36 points. With only two goals this year, Phoebe Ross isn't a scoring threat herself, but she is one of the best distributors in the conference, ranking second in assists (28).
