Playoff Scenarios: Clarkson needs a win over RPI on Saturday and a loss by St. Lawrence against RIT to get into the Liberty League playoffs. RPI has clinched a playoffs spot, but their seeding is yet to be determined.

The Series: Clarkson has won nine of the 40 meetings against the Engineers over the years, with the last victory coming in the Liberty League playoffs in 2019. RPI has won by five goals in each of the past two seasons.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-7, 3-6 Liberty League): For all of the much deserved notice for her scoring accomplishments, which included becoming the program's all-time leading goal scorer on Wednesday, Madelynn Barnum is also setting or approaching new standards in other categories. Her 80 draw controls this year are the most in program history, while her 30 caused turnovers are tied for second in a single season, just two short of the total produced by Nikki Corso in 2009. Barnum also leads the league in points per game (5.00) and goals per game (4.20). Both Barnum (75) and Julia Lavarnway (73) are within striking distance of hitting the 80-point mark, a threshold reached by just two previous Clarkson players in Christine Wright (86, 2016) and Sydney Roderick (82, 2019).

Key Stats for Rensselaer (6-7, 5-4 Liberty League): Ella Graf, Megan Shay, and Laure DeLeo each scored four goals against the Golden Knights last season in the team's 18-13 win. Graf and Shay are tied for the team lead in scoring at 37 points with identical figures of 33 goals and four assists. Shay also boasts 52 draw controls and had a huge outing earlier this year against St. Lawrence where she produced eight goals and an assist. DeLeo (16-12-28) and Audrey Silverman (16-8-24) also contribute to the team's offense, while the top defender for the Engineers is Sabrina Tipping with 11 caused turnovers and 25 groundballs. Jenny Canfield has made 93 stops for a .433 save percentage in the RPI crease.
