The Clarkson Men's Hockey Coaching staff has been hard at work on the recruiting trail this fall, receiving five commitments from players for the upcoming seasons (entry for fall of '26 or '27). Below is a snapshot of the players that Clarkson has committed and looks forward to enrolling.
Ryden Evers - Penticton Vees (WHL) Ryden is a 6'4" Forward from Burnaby, BC. In 32 games so far this year with the Penticton Vees of the WHL he has 21 goals and 19 assists. What the Clarkson Coaches say: "Ryden has adapted quickly to the WHL with his ability to impact games through his hockey sense and leadership. At 6"4, Ryden will add size to our center position. He is a smart and cerebral player who makes us better down the middle of the rink".
Vince Elie - Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL). Vince is a 5'8" Forward from Montreal. In his 4th season in the QMJHL with the Shawinigan Cataractes, he has 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points in 29 games. "Vince brings 4 years of junior experience to our team. He has been counted on in all situations in his over 200 QMJHL games. He has the speed and offensive tools to be a really good college player. Sebastien Gervais - Saginaw Spirit (OHL) Sebastien is a 6'1" Forward from Windsor, Ontario. In his 5th season with the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL, he has 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists in 32 games. "The fact that Sebastian has played for the Saginaw Spirit for 5 years speaks volumes for him as a player and as a person. He played an integral part in Saginaw's 2024 Memorial Cup run. He has the ability to play up and down our lineup and is versatile enough to play all forward positions. His persistence and competitiveness around pucks are his biggest strengths." - Clarkson Associate Head Coach,

Hayden Reid - Niagara IceDogs (OHL) Hayden is a 6' Forward from Orono, Ontario. After a season in the USHL, Hayden finished the 2024-25 season with Flint in the OHL. This season with the Niagara IceDogs he has 4 goals and 6 assists in 30 games. "Hayden is a smart forward that can play either center or the wing. He is heavy on pucks and always works to be on the right side of pucks offensively and defensively. He makes high percentage plays and has great experience in both the USHL and OHL. Nikolas Young - Lincoln Stars (USHL) Young is a 6' Defenseman from Lawtons, NY. Nikolas came up thru the Buffalo Jr. Sabres program before joining the Lincoln Stars of the USHL. The team Captain this year, his 3rd with the team, he has 22 points (3 goals, 19 assists) in 27 games. Head Coach,
JF Houle said: "Nik has developed into a great two-way defenseman in the USHL. He logs over 23 minutes a night and is counted on in all situations. Being recognized as the captain of the 2025-26 Lincoln Stars speaks volumes on his development and leadership. We look forward to him bringing those attributes to Clarkson hockey."
Clarkson enters the break on a 3 game winning streak and will return to campus on December 26th to prepare for a non conference game at home on Monday the 29th vs RIT.
